Full Stack PHP Developer  (OP101)

Right now we are hunting for a full stack PHP developer to join a small groundfloor team, building our backend PHP application and participate in some  front end work as well. You will report directly to the CTO and take a center stage role designing, architecting, developing, deploying and securing our yet unreleased flagship product. You will  be in a position to make a significant impact on the quality of our first offering and our future success.

Must have:

• At least 5 years of software development experience and OOP.
• Firm understanding of PHP and experience with modern MVC framework such as Laravel or Phalcon.
• Experience with front end: HTML5, JS, CSS3, JQuery, Bootstrap, Responsive web sites.
• Experience with developing and administrating relational databases: preferably Postgres.
• Working experience with RESTful web services as well SOAP/XML.
• Firm belief in unit tests as a part of everyday coding.
• Understanding of continuous integration and its setup.
• Startup mindset, flexibility in thinking and creativity in problem solving.
• Experience working with multiple languages and ability to quickly learn a new language, framework, or technology.
• Feeling right at home in a fast paced, agile environment that does not waste time on TPS reports (nor their cover sheets).
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. (Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Nice To Have:

• AWS deployment and setup Experience.
• Experience working with Linux instances, shell scripts, Web server setup/configuration (e.g. NGINX).
• Working knowledge of scaling web applications using AWS products.
• AngularJS, Single Page application experience.
• Having created a RESTful API layer for an application.

Advantageous To Have: 

• CS degree from a top school.
• Having already developed a large scale web application you can show and brag about.
• Knowledge of best practices for data security in the cloud.
• Having gone through compliance audits for one of the following standards:

• ISO27001
• PCI DSS
• EI3PA
• SSAE 16 – SOC 2 or SOC3
